REMEMBER – Daniel Henry Cast as Charlie
Ten friends in an isolated cabin are terrorized by a malevolent force that picks them off one-by-one. As each character is taken, the survivors forget that their friend ever existed, causing ripple effects that affect their personalities, relationships, and ability to survive the night.
We’re excited to welcome Daniel Henry to the cast of REMEMBER, where he’ll portray Charlie, a character who goes through some wild changes throughout the story.

“The Asheville arts community is close-knit but also wide open. People are extremely accepting of each other. I think that’s one of the reasons it’s such a successful arts community, because people care about each other and their perspectives.”
A longtime Asheville resident and seasoned actor across many genres, Daniel is more than ready for his first horror film.
He’s lived in Asheville since 2012 and has seen it change over time. “It’s not as weird as it used to be,” he joked, “but it still has that weirdness factor.”
Daniel has been part of the local arts community for over a decade, performing across many of the region’s theaters. His roles include Con in Stupid Fucking Bird (DPH Productions), Cuddy in Witch (NC Stage), Colin in Blood At The Root (Different Strokes PAC), and Tybalt in The Ballad of Romeo and Juliet (American Myth Center). On screen, he’s appeared in Hickory Dickory Dock and Lovestruck, and continues to work on a variety of Southeast-based projects.
He holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Mars Hill University and further training from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, but credits a single moment for starting it all: summer acting camp.
“I originally wanted nothing to do with getting in front of people. I had massive stage fright,” he said. “I played football in high school for three years, and when I quit, my mom signed me up for drama camp. I didn’t want to go—but somehow the bug bit me. It felt like I was coming home.”
When it comes to REMEMBER, Daniel is especially drawn to the emotional complexity beneath the horror. The film asks what happens when our most defining relationships are suddenly erased—what lingers, and what changes. “It’ll be interesting to dive into why forgetting certain things can cause jealousy, anxiety, and all kinds of different reactions,” he said.
His relationship to horror has evolved, too. “At first, I didn’t like it,” he admitted. “Then around 2010, Insidious came out. I was hesitant to go, but I had a great time. I slept with my nightlight on the entire night. That was the beginning of my love for horror—for the adrenaline rush.”
As his appreciation for the genre grew, so did his recognition of its deeper meaning. “I love how horror reflects modern issues,” he said. “Horror is reactive. It mirrors us.”
For REMEMBER, he’s especially compelled by its themes of isolation, rewriting history, and found family—the people who shape us, and what’s lost when they’re gone.
We’re so excited to have Daniel in the role of Charlie!
