REMEMBER – Madeline Wrona Cast as Patty
Filming on her home turf

Ten friends in an isolated cabin are terrorized by a malevolent force that picks them off one-by-one. As each character is taken, the survivors forget that their friend ever existed, causing ripple effects that affect their personalities, relationships, and ability to survive the night.
We’re proud to announce that Madeline Wrona has joined the cast of REMEMBER as Patty, one of the film’s most warmhearted and curious characters. A proud North Carolinian, Madeline brings both her talent and deep regional ties to this Southern horror story.
Though she was raised just south of Charlotte, Madeline has called the mountains home for the past four years. She now lives in Waynesville, just minutes from several of our filming locations—and the community here is close to her heart.

“Had this production been anywhere outside of Western North Carolina, I probably wouldn’t have found it. I feel really fortunate that it’s local.”
That local connection has taken on an even deeper meaning in the wake of last year’s Hurricane Helene, which hit her area especially hard. “The job market was difficult after the storm,” she said. “But I feel like after a year, we’re really bouncing back. I think it’s wonderful that life moves on, the earth moves on. The mountains are still safe.”
Madeline sees REMEMBER as a sign of the area’s future. “It’s so encouraging to see new stories being made here. I think the location really colors the themes. And it definitely affects the specific atmosphere as a horror film.”

“I love this area. It has so many stories to tell.”
In REMEMBER, she plays Patty, a character whose journey centers on self-discovery. “I absolutely relate to her,” Madeline said. “She’s exploring who she is, and I think it’s a fun acting challenge to portray someone figuring that out in real time.”
Though Madeline doesn’t consider herself a horror buff (“I’m a bit jumpy,” she admitted), she’s drawn to the power of the genre—and to the way this film centers queer themes within a Southern backdrop. “A lot of times, we have movies with queer characters coming out of big cities and more inclusive areas,” she said. “This is really cool. It’s especially wonderful to see a Southern-based film telling this kind of story.”
A lifelong performer raised in a deeply artistic family, Madeline’s love for the stage goes back to childhood. “My whole family is super musical,” she said. “Growing up, I was always on or around the stage.” Though she studied mathematics and marketing in college—and now works in accounting—she has kept performance close to her heart.
“I hope to do Patty justice,” she said. “And I’m really excited to see how this all goes.”
