REMEMBER - Welcome Back!

Our project is ready to restart

A group of friends in an isolated cabin are terrorized by a malevolent force that picks them off one-by-one. As each character is taken, the survivors forget that their friend ever existed, causing ripple effects that affect their personalities, relationships, and ability to survive the night.

Welcome back to the REMEMBER newsletter! And if you're one of our new subscribers, just plain welcome!

We're a team of filmmakers working on a new indie horror project. This newsletter is our way of filling you in on each step of our journey.

We started posting updates last year, but our newsletter stopped in September after Hurricane Helene. Asheville, North Carolina (our filming location and base of operations) was hit particularly hard. Our community faced widespread flooding, power outages, destroyed infrastructure, and tragic losses throughout the area.

The city is slowly recovering thanks to the resilient community itself as well as many organizations such as the Red Cross, NanosteadBaptists on Mission, BeLoved, World Central Kitchen and Mountain Strong.

In the latter half of 2024, Asheville has proven that a united community is much stronger than any natural disaster. Neighbors are helping each other. Businesses are giving back. Bonds are strengthened.

For months now, our producer Betsy has worked for the Red Cross, traveling to the most affected areas to help deliver food, supplies, and assistance to our fellow North Carolinians. As a film producer, she knows how to handle a dozen different tasks at once while keeping a level head and focusing on the big picture. Those same skills are exactly what she’s used to help her community.

But she's not the only one. Countless other Asheville residents have done their part, and while most of their work isn't making national headlines the way the hurricane did, these stories continue to show the community at its strongest.

Our film project is also coming back stronger than ever. We've always been an independent, local production, but the events of 2024 have reminded us what an asset that actually is.

· We're filming here.

· We're building out a cast and crew here.

· We're planning to work with local businesses.

And like the city itself, our film is a story about remembering the connections we've made and surviving against impossible odds. REMEMBER is coming back, and our whole team is excited that you're here with us.

Thank you all for your interest and support! In our next newsletter, we’ll finally reveal our brand-new trailer! Expect that soon!
