REMEMBER – Do you wanna be an Executive Producer?

Plus some other cool announcements

Welcome back to the REMEMBER newsletter, where we send you updates on our upcoming indie film. We’d like to give a warm welcome to all our new subscribers!

If you’re just joining us, REMEMBER is an independent horror film about memories, family, trauma, and survival. Here’s the premise:

Haunted by the memory of her mother’s sudden death, a young girl just wants to forget her pain. But when a supernatural force with the power to erase memories begins to kill those around her, she must discover the truth behind her mother’s death before she too is forgotten.

Investing

We’ve already finished our IndieGogo fundraiser and rounded up some awesome investors, but that doesn’t mean we’ve finished expanding our team. We’re always on the lookout for anyone interested in getting involved.

What exactly does that mean to invest in a film? Well, there are three big perks.

1. Credit

People who invest in REMEMBER will receive an Executive Producer credit.

Their names will be added to our opening credits, posters, and other materials. They’ll also be added to IMDb. It doesn’t matter if they’ve never worked on a film before. In fact, this is the first project for many of our investors.

2. Involvement

Executive Producers receive exclusive access to the production. We can arrange set visits where they can meet the cast, have lunch with the crew, and see how a film gets made. For anyone who’s never been on a film set before, now’s your chance.

Of course, investors won’t just see how things are done; they can help shape the finished product. Executive Producers can weigh in on decisions and help us make an exciting, scary film that we can all be proud of.

There are plenty of other ways to get involved, too. For example, we’ve been talking with some investors about product placement for their businesses. As an indie project, we’re always open to new ideas.

3. Money

And of course, many people invest in films for financial reasons.

REMEMBER Executive Producers get a share in the net profits generated from the film’s success. Horror movies are known for having a high Return on Investment, with many recent success stories at the box office. While most other genres seem to ebb and flow with the times, horror is always a solid performer.

If you’d like to learn more about becoming an Executive Producer, email us and we can talk about it. We’d love you to join our team!

And if you’d like to donate a smaller amount, there’s a donation link on our website. If you contribute that way, you won’t be an Executive Producer, but you’ll get a shout-out in the credits and some nice swag.

More Script News!

Yesterday, we received some good news from Scriptapalooza, the last (and biggest) film festival we’ve submitted to so far. They’ve selected our screenplay as a quarterfinalist!

We’ll find out soon if we advance to the next level. (That’s where the cash prizes are.) Fingers crossed!

Title Update

In our last newsletter, we opened up a poll to help us pick the best title. We’ve gotten lots of responses (and have a clear front-runner so far), but we’re keeping it open for the next two weeks. If you haven’t already voted, there’s still plenty of time.

(And one lucky voter will win a $25 gift card. That could be you.)

Coming Soon!

In our next newsletter, we’ll announce the poll results (and the winning voter) and we’ll introduce you to more of our team.

And as always, if you know anyone who might be interested in our newsletter, please spread the word.

Thanks for reading!
